My Millennium Falcon drone can take all of them on!
We will call that StarWars Drone Wars, or perhaps Bill gets an unwanted haircut 🙂
Ah-oh, here comes trouble!
Yes, this story has as an element of potential truth in it’s forecast of the unintended consequences of the proliferation of drones in our society. It’s like Hitchcock’s film The Birds mashed up with The Terminator.
I just read the book “How to Survive a Robot Uprising: Tips on Defending Yourself Against the Coming Rebellion”. Yeah, it’s a threat.
Don’t start me ranting about the obvious yet unintended consequences of technologies. It’s the old theme of “just because you can do something doesn’t mean that you should do it.” Drones may have a logical military application, and drones for limited and controlled arial camera work like blimps for special events might be OK, but the proliferation of drones for package delivery etc. has the makings of a nightmare. I can envision a future where we will all be afraid to go out doors because you won’t be able to tell which of the hundreds of drones in the sky are harmless and which are hostile. Not to even consider the complete loss of privacy from uncontrolled drone surveillance and the pure eyesore from the loss of being able to look up and not see the sky for all the drones buzzing around.
If you build it, they will drone.
They drone on and on, don’t they?
