Prince Beauregard is a squirrel who understands economics. It’s all about cash flows. The cash flows from everyone else to him, and there it stays.
NOTE: For all our U.S. readers, this comic seems most appropriate for April 15th , which of course is the day we all pay the government our taxes with a smile.

At least we aren’t physically murdered for not paying our taxes…just our soul. 😉
Yeah. The operative word is “physically murdered.”
The prince just loves getting his taxes. His greed is unbounded, not to mention his counting skills are challenged as seen in panel one. 🙂
Ha, ha! I love the Prince’s body language! 😀
Sara was the inspiration for panel two. She wanted that long pause for the prince to stare down the reader.
The Prince is intaxicated by greed! :OP
His funny dance is hilarious!
Acorns and cash just bring on his happy dance.
Little Prince has the power of rhyme too!
In case it isn’t obvious, this is one crazy tree rat.
I should sing this song to people who owe me money.
As a reader of your comic art, I can easily appreciate that you would be right at home with a homicidal maniac squirrel like the Prince. All he needs is a chainsaw.
I like his outfit and how he holds out two fingers while talking about his one rule 😀
Thanks, I always have enjoyed subtle little things like that myself. I am a student of old Hollywood cinema, particularly the comedies of Laurel and Hardy and Charlie Chaplin. It’s very funny when a pompous know it all character does something so obviously the opposite from what they should be doing. Holding up the wrong number of fingers is a classic.
Nothing is certain but death and a taxing Prince.
That and our next deadline for publishing a comic, which is Thursday.
