Inspector Lesquirrel and Constable Taube are planning to solve the crime of the century with less than a full basket of bird seed between them.
Note to long time readers of Bugpudding: This is the first time that Dr. Beauregard Squirrel has been cast in a non-villain role.

I like how you have made Dr Beauregard a non-villain.
Thanks David,
Yes, the little tree rat deserved a chance to play the role of someone other than a bad guy. So he’s moved up to playing the role of a bumbling buffoon with the aid of Chester playing his fellow buffoon Constable Taube (German for pigeon).
Chester looks good in a Bobby hat.
Thanks Howard,
Doing costumes is a bit of a new thing for me, but like I said, I’m stretching out for this one. In this case they’re really adding to the story telling. I know how much you enjoy props and backgrounds so hang on tight because this adventure is loaded with them. Hopefully a few big surprises too.
Ah Ha! That poster in the background seems very appropriate. In that serial, Blake was fighting ‘The Scorpion’ over possession of a ‘death ray’. Could that be a little foreshadowing, JP?
Thanks RG,
Glad you liked it.
Blimey how blamey!
Thanks Mark,
These guys do talk funny
It’s always a plus to have someone take the blame for you if you screw up (even if they’re not privy to the case; or should I say “especially”?) 🙂
