Those dinosaurs look like plant eaters. It’s probably safe to send Agile out to confirm.
Awesome scenery! Are the mountains in the background done with watercolors?
Thanks Howard,
No digital painting. But Thats a great idea for future background stuff for this adventure.
Ok, J.P. now you’re gonna make everyone have to up their game with this story line. I mean, look at those luscious space vistas! Wow! Not to mention all those detailed dinos! A tour de force, my friend!
Thanks Mark,
Love your portrait work on Instagram.
Makes me nostalgic that you used some of the old style dinosaurs along with the stegosauruses. Haven’t seen the blown up monitor lizards and horned reptiles in decades. Ah, the days of Ray Harryhausen…
Thanks RG,
They are a total tribute to the 1930’s Flash Gordon serials. I have said this before, but in the 1950’s, when I was about 8 or 9, I use to sit about 3 feet out in front of our B&W TV set and watch every episode, once a day in the afternoons. My dad went to a surplus yard and bought me an whole instrument panel from an old WWII fighter or bomber and I would flip the toggle switches and turn the knobs and pretend it was my rocket ship control panel while watching Flash and Zarkov fight air battles against the forces of Ming. And people wonder how old cartoonists developed their vivid imaginations 🙂 Of course now days, no one would give their kid something so possibly dangerous that came out of a junk yard.
Can’t lie, I gave a “squeeee!” when I saw the dinosaurs! 😀
