Some fun with our parody of Sherlock Holmes. The London people who often helped the famous detective were often referred to as his irregulars. The term refers to people of various ages and trades who were not regular or official police officers. Thunderstorm, the horse, takes his regularity very seriously. They are on the trail of large amounts of gunpowder and dynamite that appear to be missing.

Glad to see that your technical problem is at least partially solved with the new cable. Can you resolve the black screens by just restarting everything? I really need my Bug Pudding fix. 🙂

I’ll be going back to the Apple Store next week. There is probably a Mac Mini M2 Pro in my future, They have been very patient and helpful. I feel like it’s a video conflict. But who knows ??? 🙂
A new Mac Mini M2 Pro sounds like the $olution! New hardware is always exciting. Will your old Mac get retired or will it just be relegated to non-cartoon duties?
I use the 2020 iMac and it is actually only a little more than 2 years old. I like it just fine. The both screen black screens problem only happens when using the Cintiq. The frustrating problem is that these crashes are totally random and have been happening for over a year. I have worked around it but then two weeks ago it did more, it caused the Mac to totally shut down not just to lose the video displays, which scared me. So next week I will go back to the Apple Store to meet with a creative advisor who uses a Cintiq and Apple to hopefully help me decide the next step. 🙂 So I’m out of comic business until I can solve this, because I don’t want to potentially wreck my current iMac. 🙁
I understand not wanting to ruin either the iMac or Cintiq. Both of those are expensive tools. Best of luck with the Apple store creative advisor.

The story of my computer continues. I am hopefully progressing. I have gotten a new Mac Mini and I am trying to set it up. The Mini doesn’t come with a keyboard or a mouse. I thought I could share my keyboard and mouse from my iMac … I am so dumb… Bluetooth pairs them so a next door Mac can’t share things. So I’m getting a new keyboard and mouse for the Mini. Little steps… 🙂 Still on hold but hopefully progressing after I get past the Bluetooth blues 🙂
The new Mac Mini should resolve the mysterious black screen problems. Getting is an easy task and a lot less expensive than getting a new Mac. I am a little surprised to hear that the Mac doesn’t come with a keyboard. …but I know nothing about Macs.
