Wow, that is some impressive artwork! Wish there was a way that i could see it in a higher resolution.

The backgrounds are all photos and not drawn just in this particular strip, the float plane is drawn as are the herd of elk in the last panel. I almost never use photo backgrounds but for these story telling aerial panels it really is useful. Obviously, I normally prefer to draw all the elements of each panel, but telling the story is primary.
I have learned something new JP. Ive never heard of detritus before. Stunning scenery in those photos, especially the 2nd & 3rd panels

I’m an old fly fisherman, and detritus is a word I learned when studying about the sort of floating debris that attracts fish in a stream.
