It puts the lotion on its skin or else it get the hose again. Not a good plan, when the ” it ” is soon to come to life as a massive NFL sized monster.

Actually a very large bunghole cork stopper might be in order. 🙂
“Reviewing his calculations in the library” might be Talbot talk for “sitting in his toilet and meditating”. If so, the malicious odor might not be from the creature… O_o
