At ease disease, there’s a fungus among us. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do. I had a hard time resisting jumping on those straight lines like “Where does a turtle find a fur suit in a dungeon?” And the one from Fatz about “pretending to be a giant walnut”. Monroe seems ready to face the squirrels in his Fungus Suit. We will all just have to come back next Tuesday to see their reactions.

It looks like Halloween is coming really early this year, with Monroe planning to dress-up as a squirrel. I realize that the tree rats are not the sharpest pencils in the box, but I don’t think they are going to be fooled easily. But we will all have to wait until next Tuesday to find out more about this brilliant plan.

Have you noticed that all the bugs seem to be very sarcastic? Perhaps it is an inherent trait in bugs or maybe it’s a reaction to dealing with strange critters. Don’t ask me, I just draw the story as they tell it to me.

In Monroe’s case, he just seems to stumble into situations naturally. Like most turtles he’s characteristically slow and steady but eventually he does get there. See you again on Thursday hopefully with a rescue plan.
