Well at least Monroe has stopped running around having a panic attack. Of course this strip brings to mind the old story about the cat that got stuck up in the tree. Everyone worries that the cat can’t get down without help and will just starve to death. But a wise old owl reminds them not to worry because he has never seen a cat skeleton in a tree. I wonder if that is true for turtle skeletons too. See you on Thursday.

It’s not a really big tree, but the concept of a turtle climbing a tree just struck me as really funny. The question now is how to get him out of that tree. There certainly isn’t much in the way of food up there.
Perhaps a flatulent frog with a bushel of poison ivy could convince him. Great stuff JK!

You may be on to something there. Of course there is already so much toxic vapor in the air in this wasteland that I suspect frog gas wouldn’t even register. Currently I’m leaning toward an earthquake as a possible solution.
