Bucksnort doesn’t want to share the fat of the land, particularly when that fat comes from one of his ham hocks. Bentley is vacillating between personal property rights and his basic compassion for the misfortune of others. And Doc is just feeling victimized.

One of the treats in doing this kind of comic is that I get to leave the interpretations to the readers. I’m sure that depending on each reader’s personal perspectives and points of view they will reach their own conclusions. Hopefully some readers will comment.
